From the Battlefield to the Frame
Chaos to Clarity is not just a title—it’s a story of transformation. After years in the military, I turned to photography as a way to process, reflect, and ultimately find peace. Each image is a raw, authentic expression of that journey, capturing the resilience, beauty, and complexity of life. My work is a testament to the power of art to bring order to chaos, offering a glimpse into a world where turmoil meets tranquility.

From the gritty streets of NYC to the vibrant art scenes of San Antonio, my journey is one of transformation—from chaos to clarity. At 23, I left the relentless pulse of New York to serve in the Navy, where I spent 23 years as a Hospital Corpsman, navigating the complexities of combat and the nuances of human experience. My career took me around the globe, immersing me in the beauty and brutality of this blue marble we live on. These years sharpened my eye for detail, deepened my appreciation for life’s fleeting moments, and fueled my pursuit of success in everything I did.
Photography is more than capturing light; it’s about preserving the echoes of moments that would otherwise be forgotten. My work exists at the intersection of motion and stillness, blending frozen fragments of time with blurred recollections—mirroring the way our minds process memories.
Influenced by my 23 years as a Navy Corpsman, my images reflect a deep understanding of impermanence, resilience, and human experience. I see photography as a way to bridge the past with the present, transforming fleeting gestures and overlooked details into lasting narratives. Whether it’s the quiet solitude of a lone figure in a bustling street or the abstract patterns of light cutting through a cityscape, my images ask viewers to slow down, observe, and interpret the world beyond its surface.
I shoot only with Leica cameras as they have helped me to ensure each photograph I create is an invitation—to look past the obvious, to embrace imperfection, and to find beauty in the in-between spaces of life.
As an instructor at UTSA Arts, a member of The Raw Society, and staff at Pepper Magazine, I’m dedicated to exploring and sharing the artistic process. Whether teaching, curating a collection of images, or crafting content that resonates on social media, my mission remains the same: to inspire others to explore their journey, one frame at a time.
Good luck and Godspeed. Explore the journey with me. Together, we’ll find clarity in the chaos.
